TITLE, RECORDS, & APPRAISAL PURPOSE: The Purpose of the Title, Records & Appraisal Section is to administer the Navajo Nation Land Acquisition Program on behalf of the Navajo Nation, to conduct research into all aspects of land title, to receive and maintain permanent land records, and; to formulate real estate appraisals. Assist and participate in land exchanges to consolidate Navajo land in accordance with and utilizing the Indian Land Consolidation Act and Navajo Land Consolidation Act. GOAL: Inventory and updated leased land, rental fees and review land offers for sale to the Navajo Nation. Update and improve land records for automation. OBJECTIVE: Research and review land title, appraise and administer BLM, State and U.S. Forest Services grazing leases, agreement and property taxes, record and file records for future reference and general information.. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review and make recommendations on all requests for business sites, land withdrawals, Rights-of-way and
easements where Navajo real property in involved. 2. Receive, protect and maintain all title and title documents for lands owned, acquired or controller by the Navajo Nation. • Business Sites 3.
